Notes from November

November: the last month of autumn, but the beginning of a new adventure: take time to take risks and do the unexpected.

I love the autumn days of November. Most mornings this month, on my daily Marco Polo to my bestest, I've waxed lyrical about how beautiful the mornings have been. The changing of the seasons has been so beautiful. It's reminded me that even though there's so much nonsense going on in the world, we have so much to be thankful for and there's so much joy available if we just look for it.

Even though we've been deep into Lockdown here in the UK, Al and I have prioritised getting out for a walk in a local woods each weekend and have daydreamed and chatted about our big plans (mostly moving to the village that the woods backs onto). We've settled into the extra time together without external pressures. It's been wonderful.

Yes sometimes the weekdays have been hard, we both work in education and it's very clear that Covid is doing the rounds, but we've made our home into a real sanctuary.

Something that has been made abundantly apparent this year is that although we can't control what's going on around us, we are able to control the way we react to things.

This is something that I spoke about last week at an impromptu well-being workshop I ran for the education centre that I work in. We thought really carefully about how we are able to take a step back and breathe before reacting to a situation. We get to choose which version of events we buy into and which story we tell ourselves. (There's also some very exciting news regarding workshops but we're just getting all of our ducks in a row before I share details with you!)

I'm currently listening to Vex King's Good Vibes, Good Life which explores this idea in some depth. I've only listened to a few chapters so far but the learning is amazing. He writes brilliantly and makes manifestation and mindset very accessible. I think it's going to be one of those books which I listen to and then have to buy a hard copy of so I can highlight all of my favourite parts! Through the lovely Ruth Allen, I've discovered BookShop, a website which supports local, independent book shops but as an online entity. The Chicago Tribune describes it as hoping, "to play Rebel Alliance to Amazon’s Empire.” It's amazing to see such a huge variety of books, including small indie writers, all in one place. Anyway, I got distracted by Star Wars references, my point was Good Vibes, Good Life is well worth ordering and you get karmic brownie points if you buy through BookShop (it's not an affiliate link, I just think we should support small this year)

Speaking of shopping small this year, I'm in the process of crafting Gift Cards for my services. These can be used against any of my personal products (including coaching) and are a great way to show people you care about their well-being. I'm also in the process of doing some market research to see if people would like to purchase essential oil blends, either as a roller ball or as a diffuser blend. I love to share the emotional support that essential oils bring, so this would be a lovely way to show someone you care.

You know the well-known quote of "every time you shop from a small business a real person does a happy dance"? It's completely true! The joy that comes from every single purchase is incredible!

You may have seen the updates on the Coaching page of the website. These have been months in the making and have come straight from the heart.

This year has been beyond financially trying for so many people and I've always wanted to make coaching financially viable for more people, so I've taken a leap of faith.

There are three levels of coaching journey, at three very accessible price points. They're not your usual 'budget' offerings, you get my best work just without the ridiculous price tag.

These three coaching journeys are varying lengths, from 6 weeks to 6 months. As with all of my coaching offerings, the coaching journey is completely unique, but these do follow a beautiful path which takes you from gaining clarity around where you are currently, to where you're going to take your next steps.

I'm beyond proud of these offerings. They have been crafted with love and with my beautiful future clients in mind.

Something that I've really tuned into this year is who my ideal clients are. It's taken bravery to identify that actually my ideal client is very similar to me. All of the shadow work that I've done over the last 18 months has finally paid off!

In the next blog post I'm going to be sharing some of my goals for the next 90 days, and a gorgeous goal setting exercise that you can do.
